20150630_193228 Don’t panic. This young girl has two legs and feet. Her other foot is up on the rail. Let me introduce you to whats-her-name?. She is a frequent guest at the Bridge and is sometimes an eager participant at singing and so forth. As with all of the Kids I don’t know her name or much about her. She’s a loner which makes her unique among the girls and seems to be around 12 or 13yrs old. She is consistently unkempt and poorly dressed like this. When she comes to the Bridge she always sits nearest me, which is a good idea because she is often a terror (“devil with a blue dress” in this case) amongst her peers. In fact sitting next to me at times becomes a matter of physical force with her. This child is hauntingly beautiful, as are so many other of the Kids. I don’t know where she comes from or where she goes. She doesn’t seem to speak English at all. She is quite charming in a truly savage sort of way.

Last night Martina, a young woman from Italy and charity worker here, came back to the Bridge. She is a very kind person and friend to us all at the Bridge . Martina gave me a bag of clothes for the Kids some weeks ago and I brought them to the bridge so she could give them to the Kids herself. She did. They almost tore the clothes to pieces but managed some settlement.

Martina also brought Sally, who is from Australia and also a charity worker, and a half-dozen other friends with her. Sally loves my song Perfect World and always hugs me.

Martina and Sally help me to believe in people which can sometimes be a challenge in this world and all others.
